Tan and Conceal

January 6, 2019

Getting bronzed no matter the season I believe was always a thing. Not for me though. There were many times I caught myself wondering why I always looked pale. Then came the bronzer discovery and till now I have tried lots of bronzing products and loved even more of them. But no matter the season the plan remains the same; conceal quickly and get tanned easily.

Make up Revolution – Conceal and Define

Honestly, concealer is a god-sent product. I never get bored of trying new ones and if I find one with great coverage I don’t even think about foundation. That’s the case with this one as well. The texture feels lightweight and that’s why it blends easily and seamlessly on the skin. I apply a tiny dot on each eye and covers any darkness, especially in the inner eye corners. Definitely is of matte finish but doesn’t feel drying on the skin nor makes the under eye area look heavy. Setting is for sure optional as I don’t find that mine needs. The shade range is wide and if you pick the right one that matches slightly with your skin tone you can color correct any redness or blemishes.

Dior Backstage Contour Palette

I loved this collection as a whole. I got my hands on the contour palette and the foundation (review’s coming after using it for a while). I like how fresh the packaging looks and the fact that is transparent so you can quickly see what you’re going to use. A multi-use palette that saves you time and space. It offers two highlighters that are not glittery looking but deliver a subtle glow on the skin. The light champagne one looks very natural and fresh and the medium sand shade can work great as a toper for the matte bronzer. Regarding the matte shades, there is taupe color that helps you give structure and shape to your face without making it too obvious and the bronzer is a warm brown shade. I was afraid it would look way too warm almost orangey on me but on the contrary it matched with my skin tone really nice. The more you buff it on the skin the more it melts in. If I overdo it sometimes I just use a bit of the taupe to make it a bit cooler. The texture of them is unbelievably soft yet buildable and I use them all four of them as eye shadows as well. This palette worth the splurge as it combines all my makeup needs and the powders are really long lasing on me.

Vita Liberata – Beauty Blur

I don’t usually split my foundation shades into winter and summer categories as I don’t ever get that tanned. This in particular organic product brings life and glow to my face in the easiest way. It isn’t meant to be a foundation as there is minimum coverage in it but on those good skin days there is no need to put something else on top. The main way of using it is as a pre-base layer to add illumination, to prime and moisturize my skin. It gives me a natural tan look but at the same time protects my skin with its anti-aging natural extracts. I am in the shade latte light and this is one of my top base products!
