RMS Beauty: First Impressions

June 27, 2019

The beauty market at the moment is exploding with new brands coming out and even more products in different price ranges promising to help us achieve our ultimate skin goals. They are temping, I’m not going to lie, and that is why I always catch myself wanting to try something new both from drugstore or high-end brands.

All Things Beauty

June 2, 2019

Changing products as we move into summer is a very satisfactory habit. It’s the time when you love a bit of extra glow all over your body, more bronzed cheeks and no makeup or a “no-makeup” look. During warmer months my complexion seems to deal with less acne or redness but I added in my routine some new products and a beauty gadget just to make sure that it’ll remain just like that.

My Wet n’ Wild Impressions

April 22, 2019

Drugstore makeup has improved surprisingly over the last few years. Although, it is a common thing to consider that only high-end brands can perform amazingly on the skin, many affordable brands have stepped up their game. Specifically, Wet n’ Wild is a brand that I’ve been using a lot during the previous year. The Photo Focus foundation and the concealer from the same range are two of my favorite products that create a perfect base and they don’t make me think of using them sparingly since they are very affordable. So, lately I’ve been testing out some of the new products that have come out and guess what? They are already in my makeup bag.

Oldies and Newbies

April 7, 2019

I know that new launches are everywhere and I feel a bit overwhelmed. I find some of the products are becoming a bit repetitive without so many radical differences. I mean, how many warm eye shadow palettes can you handle and use daily with splashes of glitter and shimmer? For me one or maybe two are enough. But, because there is always an excuse, I am a concealer collector if I am allowed to call myself that way and I’ll justify my choice. If you have dark circles no matter what you’ll look tired and any eye look you’re going to try won’t do justice. So, I put together in this post an oldie and two newbies to keep a balance after all and suggest you some multi-purpose products.

A Good Skin Day with Dermalogica

March 6, 2019

Who doesn’t love a visit to a beauty salon for a skin pampering routine? It’s like a small luxurious treat and always feels great. So, last week was one of these lucky days and I visited the Dermaway beauty salon in the heart of Thessaloniki. Aggeliki, the salon’s owner, is a Dermalogica expert so you can try every facial and therapy as well as purchase all of the brand’s products. Now, if you haven’t heard of Dermalogica as a skincare brand before this post will give you a brief overview. Dermalogica is an American skincare brand, founded in 1986 in Los Angeles. Although its products don’t have the most instagramable packaging, the main goal is to deliver scientific knowledge behind our skin’s well-being and to remain away from common irritants and ingredients that would cause any skin concerns. For this reason all the products are without alcohol, minerals, parabens, artificial colors or fragrances.

Enough said now about the theoretical part, let’s get into the details about which products she used on me and the purpose each of them serves.

The Power of Three

February 17, 2019

How do you feel about foundations? Do you find they are an essential part of your everyday makeup or you save it up for special occasions? If you ask me, I’m a tinted moisturizer fan girl or I prefer a foundation that provides a bit more coverage with a fresh finish. But the one place I’m ruthless regarding coverage is my under-eyes. There’s nothing more annoying for me seeing that blue-greyish tones peeking through the concealer, that’s why I love a good corrector. Let me introduce you to the three products that tick my boxes for every occasion or mood swing.

My typical everyday look

January 27, 2019

We are in the middle of winter and let’s face it, it is freezing cold outside! On these days I find that my laziness hits the roof regarding my effort in makeup to look extremely put together. But I’m more than fine with that. Specifically the majority of my girlfriends, like me, tend to focus more on their skincare and leave makeup to the minimum. That is why I decided to share my typical winter routine with you. Currently I love this combination for everyday or for a weekend evening coffee. Let’s begin.

Tan and Conceal

January 6, 2019

Getting bronzed no matter the season I believe was always a thing. Not for me though. There were many times I caught myself wondering why I always looked pale. Then came the bronzer discovery and till now I have tried lots of bronzing products and loved even more of them. But no matter the season the plan remains the same; conceal quickly and get tanned easily.

Drugstore Makeup

October 28, 2018

Scrolling on Instagram is a trap. Especially when high-end makeup catches my attention. It is true that when I get my hands on a beautifully designed blush or lipstick I feel very luxurious and lush. But to be honest, I’m quite skeptical when I’m about to buy something from the high end makeup range as I am not sure whether the product will perform the same way as it promises on me and I’m not willing to spend a fortune just on one beauty product. On the contrary, drugstore makeup has improved a lot in quality. There are many hidden gems and with a bit of research you can find products that work really well and you don’t have to break the bank.

Summer Skincare: Hydration and Sun Protection to the Max

October 2, 2018

This summer I really wanted to keep it basic. Honestly, I find no point in experimenting with new products or formulas while my skin is exposed to the sun and sea salt. These two factors instantly make my skin sensitive and dehydrated. That is why I used only 4 skincare products and my skin and I felt very pleased.
